Fishing Hole of the Past

Spring break is here!
Catching up on a few things.
While ‘spring cleaning” the hard drive, came across this – our favorite fishing hole in Northen California, only a few miles from where we lived.
It seems a lifetime ago..

“We fished for years without success
We tried different gears without progress.
If skunked again we were going to quit
We said amen then a bunch of fish bit
We were amazed that our luck finally turned
We were fazed not to forget what we learned
Hours of waiting built our knowledge base
Years of investing delivered productive days”

Mount Gerizim, Nablus

When Moses and his people entered Canaan, they celebrated by holding ceremonies of blessing and cursing on Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal, overlooking the valley, now Nablus. This panorama shot of Nablus is captured from the top of Mount Gerizim, one of the highest peaks in the West Bank (2890 ft above sea level).

Kanafeh, popular Arab dessert, originated in Nablus. This place at the south end of the city, is supposed to be the best of the best.

The traffic laws exist in the West Bank, but they are often just a guideline! 🙂
