Training for Race

One of the hardest and the slowest long runs yesterday, barely managing through a forest. The terrain was rough and steep, riddled with puddles and pebbles.
Everything else seems manageable after a run like this, because I know that the finish line is guaranteed to be closer with each step, no matter how slow and how small.
“Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.” (1 Corinthians 9:25)
